We were reading Mathew 3.13 - 17
and made a model of what we heard......
John the Baptist was baptising people in the river Jordan.
Jesus came and saw the people being baptised.
He went to John and asked to be baptised.
John was not sure about Baptising Jesus. He recognised Jesus as Gods' Son and said that He should be the one who should baptise people.
Jesus said that it was good to to do what God asks. He said it was the right thing to do to baptise Him.
The Spirit of God came down to Jesus as he was baptised in the form of a dove.
God said "This is my son"
We thought John had a difficult decision to make, but God helped him.
The Poem Footsteps on the Sand (for children) tells us how God helps us with difficult decisions and problems.
He carries us when we need him.
