The Women’s
Guild is a group of ladies who meet together in Salem Hall every Wednesday
afternoon at 2:30pm. The Guild has
met for more than 60 years and is still flourishing.
They enjoy speakers who bring a Christian message
as well as those who speak in lighter vein, recalling holidays, or family, or
just reminiscing about the past. There
are slide shows on various topics in addition to faith teas, where the members
contribute to the meeting with items of interest, etc., and then enjoy a cup of
tea and refreshments provided by us all. These
give an opportunity for those who live alone to share in a selection of goodies
that they would not normally prepare for themselves.
