“A
fellowship growing in faith together” |
|
Together
with our fellow Christians in Wellingborough we seek to draw closer to God and
then invite others to draw closer too.
|

|
|
Through
our worship and through occasional study groups we share our faith in one God,
who we know as Father, Son and Holy Spirit:
|
|
|
The
Father is God the creator and sustainer of the incredible world in which we
live;
|
| The
Son is Jesus Christ, who came to earth born as one of us, the child of Mary, who
lived a life which we do well to copy and who taught us how to receive the
blessing of a life full of love, meaning and purpose. We believe Jesus died
having been crucified by the Romans after a false trial, but that he allowed
himself to be put to death to show that his, God’s, love for us has no limit.
On the first Easter Day we believe he rose from the dead, showing that the God
of supreme love is ultimately undefeated.
|
The
Holy Spirit is our way of describing the God’s presence with us here and
now.
With
a sense of God so close to us, our belief opens us to the call and guidance of
God at any time, any day. Ultimately, when our days on earth are over, we are
open to his call to be with him for eternity in heavenly relationship. |
 |
|
|

|
In
seeking to invite others to draw closer to God we not only try to speak of him,
and delve into the Bible for daily inspiration, but also we try to live out our
lives in Christian service to our fellow men and women.
Thus, in addition to our worship services, you will find details of our
various groups, which have the love of the Lord Jesus as their source of energy,
and the drawing of themselves and others closer to God as their fundamental
purpose. |
The Mission we share with other Christians can
be summed up in these five words:
Tell
-- Teach
-- Tend --Transform --Treasure
which, being slightly expanded, mean:
|
Proclaim the
Good News of the Kingdom
Nurture
and teach new believers
Respond
to human need in loving service
Seek
to transform unjust structures of society
Safeguard
creation and sustain and renew the earth
|
|
We hope you will agree this is a Godly and
all-encompassing manifesto.
